Following Dublin’s “infamous Infernos” of 1889, 1890, and 1894*, it was apparent that Dublin’s property owners were not exempt from the peril that ravished cities. Of the dozens of buildings that sustained total and partial losses during the fires of the late 19th century, only one was insured.

T.A. Curry Sr. understood the problem facing the community and in 1902, he and F.N. Watkins founded Curry & Watkins Insurance to help the citizens of Dublin protect their most valuable assets. Now, under fourth-generation family leadership, Curry Maffett Insurance remains dedicated to serving our community.
